Variations in Soil C, N, P Stocks and Stoichiometry With Soil Depth and Forest Types in Qilian Mountains of Northwest China

چکیده
Forests ecosystem plays a significant role in supplying multiple services given the unique properties of forest soils, which elements C, N, and P are essential to support soil fertility site productivity. However, at different depths between plantation forests (PF) natural (NF) have not been well quantified. Therefore, current study was carried out Qilian Mountains northwest China determine difference PF NF properties, both physical (e.g., bulk density, BD) chemical pH value, contents, stocks, stoichiometry organic carbon (SOC), total N (TN), (TP)). Research analyzed samples (0–20, 20–40, 40–60, 60–80, 80–100 cm). The results showed that soils’ values BD were significantly higher ( p ? 0.05) than increased with depth. contents SOC, TN, TP decreased considerably depth then stabilized cm. PF, confirming quality had fully recovered yet. stocks SOC TN quickly up 40–60 cm gradually. Additionally, C:P N:P rising depth, while C:N ratio remained unchanged. ratios lower NF, NF. In conclusion, show soils present but (or nearly equal) (under same age group tree species composition). These imply maintaining avoiding their replacement by can help keep related services.

Grazing intensity and soil depth effects on soil properties in alpine meadow pastures of Qilian Mountain in northwest China
In the mountainous rangeland of inland arid regions of Eurasia, seasonal grazing has been important to local communities for production of food, fiber, and for income, for the past thousand years. Recent population increases and other changes have put traditional grazing systems under pressure. However, empirical data describing soil properties or the impact of traditional grazing practice on t...
متن کاملDeep Soil C, N, and P Stocks and Stoichiometry in Response to Land Use Patterns in the Loess Hilly Region of China
In the Loess Hilly Region of China, the widespread conversion of cropland to forestland and grassland has resulted in great increased in organic carbon (C), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) stocks in the shallow soil layers. However, knowledge regarding changes in C, N, and P in deep soil is still limited. To elucidate the responses of deep soil C, N, and P stocks and stoichiometry in response t...

although there are studies on pragmatic assessment, to date, literature has been almost silent about native and non-native english raters’ criteria for the assessment of efl learners’ pragmatic performance. focusing on this topic, this study pursued four purposes. the first one was to find criteria for rating the speech acts of apology and refusal in l2 by native and non-native english teachers...

Changes in land use might affect the combined C, N and P stoichiometry in soil. The Grain-to-Green Program (GTGP), which converts low-yield croplands or abandoned lands into forest, shrub, and/or grassland, was the largest land reforestation project in China. This study collected the reported C, N and P contents of soil in GTGP zones to achieve the factors driving the changes in the C:N, C:P, a...
متن کاملEffect of N and P addition on soil organic C potential mineralization in forest soils in South China.
Atmospheric nitrogen deposition is at a high level in some forests of South China. The effects of addition of exogenous N and P on soil organic carbon mineralization were studied to address: (1) if the atmospheric N deposition promotes soil C storage through decreasing mineralization; (2) if the soil available P is a limitation to organic carbon mineralization. Soils (0-10 cm) was sampled from ...
